Job Description:

The Marketing Data Analyst will be the leader on all statistical projects.  They will provide insights into the best means to analyze and combine different data sources, and conduct basic and advanced statistical analyses (such as Regression, Multiple Regression, CHAID, Cluster Analysis, ANOVA, Discriminant Analysis, etc.) on both new and existing databases.  They will be able to provide guidance on findings and implications of statistical output, and be capable of explaining them to a client (internal or external).  A high level of accuracy on all data analysis is expected, as well as a desire to continue learning new approaches, techniques and best practices in data analysis.


Duties:



  • Run statistical reports on existing research databases, by request of planners



  • Utilize Manhattan Research data to create trend data and project physician online usage



  • Combine individual custom survey data into aggregated datasets, weight them appropriately for specialty and analyze for differences in responses between types of physicians.



  • Conduct ongoing evaluation of the effectiveness of non-personal promotion while campaigns are running using prescription data or other response indicators.



  • Instruct partners on how to structure data files in order to conduct analyses.



  • Assist in analyzing/segmenting target lists for planning/realignment, both pre- and mid-campaign



  • Conduct Media Mix and ROI analysis on physician data demonstrating which tactics, or group of tactics, were most effective and efficient. Advise planning teams on how to construct control groups to facilitate this analysis.



  • Assist in the design, execution and analysis of MediaVitals®, ByDoctor® onDemandsm and PULSE studies



  • Ability to assess measurement methodologies, both internally and externally, and make recommendations, ensuring they meet CMI standards.



  • Assist in the evaluation of new research and measurement tools



Requirements:

Education, Certifications, Specialized Training:

 

  • Bachelors Degree in statistics, business, or behavioral sciences.
    Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience with data analysis, measurement reporting, and campaign design
  • Knowledge of Healthcare Industry a plus


Functional/Technical Knowledge:

 

  • Strong knowledge of basic and advanced statistical methods.
    Working knowledge of application software such as SPSS or SAS for marketing science analysis.
  • Ability to use database query tools (i.e. SQL Integration Services, Access, etc)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite
  • Expert in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and reporting
